Starting writing instruction at the beginning of the year can feel tough! (But it doesn't have to be!)

At the beginning of the school year, most K-2 students aren't independent with their writing.

They're asking you how to spell every word, writing in incomplete sentences, forgetting the most basic capitalization and punctuation rules... and many kids can't write at all yet. Your Kindergarteners may not even know their letters. Your 1st and 2nd graders may barely be able to put a sentence on paper.

Even though writing instruction right now might feel like pulling teeth, I promise it CAN become fun, meaningful, and productive — starting from day one.

But to make that happen, you need to know how to build your students' confidence and independence from the very beginning — AND have research-based, engaging activities rooted in the Science of Writing.

That's exactly what I'm going to give you in this free training.

This year, you (and everyone else in your building!) will be truly WOWed by your students' writing progress!

Hi, I'm your host, Alison Ryan, M.Ed., C-SLDS.

Since 2005, I’ve worked in schools in a variety of roles including classroom teacher, reading interventionist, reading specialist, and Director of Curriculum & Instruction. Along the way, I’ve earned my master’s degree in literacy leadership, become certified in Structured Literacy as a Dyslexia Specialist, received an ESL endorsement, and trained in the Orton-Gillingham method.

I know what it's like to stare at a class full of students who are barely putting pencil to paper — and wonder where on earth to start. This webinar will give you the exact roadmap I wish I'd had.

Can't wait to see you there!
